Announcement: Acquisition of Van Peperzeel
We are pleased to announce that Peperzeel (formerly Van Peperzeel) has been acquired by Huiskes Metal & Electronics Recycling. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in our history and strengthens our position as a leader in the battery recycling and non-ferrous metals market.
Huiskes Metal & Electronics Recycling in Waalwijk and Van Peperzeel in Lelystad have joined forces. Both companies hold leading positions within specific segments of the recycling sector and, as established family businesses, complement each other perfectly.
Van Peperzeel holds a strong position in the collection of lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries and is also the national collection and sorting center for batteries in the Netherlands. The company has further developed into a knowledge center for battery technology.
Huiskes has grown into a specialist in the collection, processing, and recycling of electronics and metals. Dirk and Koen Huiskes, the fourth generation, are at the helm of the Waalwijk-based family business.
Van Peperzeel will continue to operate from Lelystad. Johan van Peperzeel remains involved with the company. Van Peperzeel will focus even more intensely on the rapidly growing developments within the battery market.
