Our expertise in collecting these batteries is based on years of experience Peperzeel has gained with the collection of all types of (consumer) batteries. For all these batteries, Peperzeel provides the appropriate collection boxes, packaging instructions, and logistics services from the disposer to our location. Additionally, our storage facility in Lelystad is equipped with the latest security and safety systems. Peperzeel also manages efficient logistics to various recyclers across Europe. We carry out transport using a trailer that offers the same fire-resistant protection as our storage containers, ensuring that safety during transport is at the same high level as on our own premises.

Peperzeel works closely with Stichting OPEN, ARN, and various (car) manufacturers and importers. Peperzeel operates a Benelux-wide reverse logistics system for all types of batteries.
Orange List
Currently, all batteries fall under the Orange List procedure of EU Regulation 1013/2006. Transport is only permitted with the consent of all involved (transit) countries. For years, Peperzeel has held the necessary permits to transport batteries safely and legally throughout Europe, including under the latest regulations.
